What is the Work Like a Mother program?

Work Like A Mother is a brand NEW series at Yoga One! Specifically designed for moms, this series is an opportunity for you to discover and encourage an organic approach to motherhood by learning ways to shift your vision in the pursuit of growth. Motherhood is beautiful and rewarding, and it is not easy. Together we will gain access to tools to manage the ebbs and flows of parenting and be in the now of your experience. Through yoga, mediation and inquiry, and creating a greater sense of community, we'll learn how to let go and commit to our higher selves.

10 Reasons Why You Should Join the Summer Challenge

August is HERE.  We still cannot believe it and the saying, "Time flies when you're having fun," surely holds weight! The time is now to reignite your summer practice and what better way to do so than with the Y1 Summer Challenge?! The purpose of this challenge is to keep you committed to your best self through possibility and through action. It combines practice, accountability, PRIZES, community and FUN.

Not convinced yet? Here are 10 reasons why you should join:

  1. Amp Up Your Practice. This challenge is all about practicing more.  Practicing with your friend, practicing in a new mat location, practicing a new class, practicing BLINDFOLDED! Practice. Do the thing.  Get into your body, and out of your head.

Yoga + Weights. I heard the buzz around a brand new class to Y1.  I saw people leaving Studio B with weights in their hands. I couldn’t help but be intrigued. Yoga is practiced at the studio and weights are used at the gym, right? I’ve put those two forms of movement and workouts in separate categories… until now.  Enter Power Fusion. A beautiful blend of yoga and weights married together in a 60 minute class. I’ve been to the class and even spoke with the creator herself. If you’re like me, and wondering what it’s all about, here’s the breakdown.
